Why burn a day and a half getting to some post office when you could be chilling by that waterfall you raced past, picturing how you’ll quit your job and having just taken a hot shower in the middle of the wilderness?
I’m John — a thru-hiker like you.
A few years back, I hiked the John Muir Trail. For the sake of minimalism (and a little pride), I did the whole walk in sandals and brought just one pair of hiking shorts. Well about halfway through, my feet turned raw, and I tore that pair of shorts while taking a dump in the woods, leaving me limping along with a view of my right cheek to whoever was behind me.
Thankfully, a timely resupply saved both my feet and my dignity — and probably my buddy’s trip, too.
On the other hand, I’ve also been yelled at by a ranger who threatened to throw away my attempted supply cache and fine me, forcing me to lug ten days of food back to the trailhead - Resupplies can be a HUGE logistical challenge. We’re building a VIP solution.
Beyond just the resupply, if you need literally anything while you’re on the trail, we can be there for you. Say you’re 20 days in and you’re dealing with a gnarly rash, you need a hard-core ointment, and you don’t have enough dinners to take a down day - Find someone with a Garmin or an iPhone 14, send us a satellite text and let us be your wilderness heroes.
